He is DeathThe wind whispers soft on skin
The breeze lifts hair and goosebumps
The river flows fast and loud
and my heart is cool and calm.

But that is not the whispering wind
And that is not what causes my gooseflesh.
That is not a river pure and flowing
And my heart begins to race.

The cloak of night He wears has brushed me.
He breathes down my neck.
Blood of His victims stains the river.
And my heart gives a sudden jolt.

He is Death,
who reapes the innocent
deep in the night.
He is Death,
the friend and enemy

Another True Story. I'll start with not knowing what to say.  My heart lurched from my chest, my lips spreading to accommodate the howling pain.  Hand over heart, mind over matter.
I hung up the phone.
And so was that it? Was this all it came down to?
A few drawings, and three years; It felt like an eternity, like a life…dying before me.  I broke my own heart.  How romantic.
Dramatic lines decorated my swollen face as I rose from my sheets to sit upright.  Blood rushed to my head, my vision blurring.  Posters covered my walls, drawings, paintings, cards…everything that was on

I'm not enough.I apologize,
For my efforts so lame,
I want you to be proud,
My emotions nearly tame,
Of the fact you have someone like me,
but I'm just not that person,
I try so hard to be,
So my efforts and sweat,
Are just dusted away,
By the blunt fact,
I'm better off this way.

The Last TimeIf I had known that the last time we talked,
would be the last time we would ever talk...

I would have slapped you,
for all the promises you were about to break.

I would have kissed you,
so I could have a bittersweet last memory.

I would have told you the things you changed,
the better person you made me be.

I would have laughed and cried with you,
one last time.

I would have told you the things,
that I loved and hated about you.

I would have let you know,
how hard I fell for you.

If I had known...

I wouldn't have let you go.

The Waves of UncertaintyThere is truth in my waves of uncertainty,
their message hidden in the foam of my eyes.

Don't look
         to the glass
                 within my heart,
it shatters
         much too easily
                 from words of the wise.

Today is a lovely day,   for a swim in the oil.
The clouds roll on in,   and the rising of the sand.

this, then, is life?This, then, is life.
The weighing in and the rushing out
the heavy hands and the full-of-doubts
the how-dare-yous and the desperate pause
the sinking of ships without a cause.
To trudge along in an empty way
like soldiers march to an unmarked grave
a battlefield, a morose sun
blinking into the eyes of none;
this, then, is life.
These weeping nights and forlorn pleas
the torture of our enemies
in war-torn minds that beg to breathe
the light of day they never see.
And while we march into these graves
killing hope and those unsaved
we cannot help but glimpse as time
out from beneath our feet flies.
And so we, in question, cry

It's FunnyIt's funny
That no one said
That you where dead
And a demon has entered your skin

It's funny
That you blame me
For staying the way I'm
When you're supposed to love me for who I'm

It's funny
When I'm reminded
That the dreams we dreamt together
They will always decay on the ground and make me sick

I have become insane again
I have welcomed the pain again
I have become insane again
And to be honest, I love it

Two windowsFreedom beckoned beyond the window, Salvation!
Steel barred was the other; silk bed made, stained with hate.
Passers-by gazed up with pleased eyes; mine was a worse fate.
The others were kind, through plastic bars; they semed, as lillies, sanctification.

The window watched me always; kept me safe from them,
But through that wide-eyed window; melodious notes seemed to stem;
Dreams of freedom! Save me from this vicious tyranny! Let me out!
Deep voices 'yelled'; 'I'll save you,' sanctuary and I were in a terrible bout.

The soft blades tickled her thighs; no she thought this can't be right.
The wind's cold lust; greedily waiting for a b

An ArtistIf you’re a performing artist then you’re a master of your emotions.
If you’re a visual artist then you’re a master of your creations.
If you’re a literary artist then you’re a master of words.

InsanityInsanity, it takes us all,
If its in us or on the walls
Insanity, some hate,
Others will take pride in that state
Insanity it will consume the world,
Insanity it makes you see colors and swirls
Insanity it never leaves,
Insanity it makes you see
See the world for what it is for,
You may see black and grey but there is more
Insanity...
It lets you feel love,
It lets you fly high above
It lets you believe,
Insanity... it lets you see.

The monster in the mirrorI look in the mirror and all I see
Is that freaky little monster staring back at me
She does so much damage but means no harm
Her parents she does not want to alarm
So she keeps her feelings bottled up inside
Paints on a smile and acts like everything is fine
Puts on long sleeves and pretends the scars aren't there
It's not like anyone would even care
She waits until nighttime to sit and cry
Thinks about how much she wants to die
When everyone's asleep, she lies awake
Thinking of how many pills she'd have to take
Or how deep the wound would have to be
So people would finally hear her plea
Her need to see blood pour from her wris

Thy NameMalice lies on the tip of my tongue, promising an easy escape. I would tell the world of the universal truths that lurk up my body and lay their eggs deep into my soul. But they won't let me.

They just sit there, unformed words, crawling in my mouth like poisonous insects.

The sun shines upon the ignorant, leaving me as dark as a cloud that the moon turns bright.

There's no star out there that can light up my sky. Just as no sombre thought can still the burning planets.

I often wonder if my morning will ever arrive, as I drift away to sleep.

Thy name burns like a gray and flickering candle flame.

Black Is The ColorI seek out the darkness
It is the only place that I can feel

I feel reality bending
It bends at will

Dry sharks are biting
Their gills are stitched shut
They gasp

In between bites of flesh
And torn ligaments

The blood is what I love
I like the way it glows

It shows that life is still worth living
It knows

I like the feel of pain
Stretching my resistance

I like tattooed skin and needles
Little drops of life

And burned bodies
From the sun

I like the heat of summer
And the sweat it leaves behind

I like the smell of gasoline
And sniff it when I drive

I like fire
The way that it eats hungrily
Whatever is

CollapseMy chest constricts
and closes my throat;
choking the air
and any futile attempt
to speak.

My head pounds
as my breath quickens
to force oxygen
back to my brain
and balance me.

My eyes flood
and a tear slips out,
warming my cheek
as it slides down
and drips to the ground.

My hand clenches
into a fist,
dying to pound a wall,
dying to again,
feel steel.

My legs buckle
and give out
as gravity pulls me lower,
and my knees hit
the tear stained floor.

My body folds
in half
as the pain sinks
to the pit of my gut
and I

collapse.

Finger on the TriggerIs anybody out there
Does anybody care
that I'm sitting here
with my finger on the trigger
Outcast and alone
Bet they won't even notice when I'm gone
Bet those people who said those things today
didn't think tonight I'd be this way
If only they knew
like I know to be true
that one kind word
can change the world
If only somebody
had told me something nice today
then maybe
I wouldn't be here
finger on the trigger
My finger clenches tighter
I'm looking for the smallest sign that I am not alone
Hoping for the vibration of my phone
It was a sign that didn't come
I took one last long breath

Scary monsters, horror on display
Hats and gloves keep us warm
As we wait for monsters to swarm
Clowns, witches, and chainsaws
They grab you with those claws

As the beasts come out at night

So you cling to your bud
When you hear a loud thud
Then the chainsaw man comes
Letting out buzzes and hums
You duck, cover and breathe
Eyes shut, grinding your teeth

It wasn't scary, just a lot of fun

To FishI remember the first time you bought me a fishing pole
It was Barbie themed and pink as can be
I remember when you showed me how to fish
How to cast the line, and reel it all in
I remember the first time I caught a fish
You told me it was a blue gill, smiling at me
I remember throwing that blue gill back in
Wondering what its life was like

I loved it when you asked me to dig up worms
The mud was so fun to play with
I loved it when we would walk down to the pond just us
Because, you're my dad, and I thought you were a hero
I loved the feeling of the fish on the line
We would reel it in together
I loved when you told me how strong

Peace At LastI have to get something off my chest
I really like you, if you haven't guessed
For this crush is never ending
Butterflies to my stomach is what you're sending
I need to tell you
Because I don't know what to do
I want peace at last
To those questions I have asked
I need closure
From you, rejection is what assure

I'm the last toy on the shelf
The one no one wants
I don't know what's wrong with myself
Why am I the one no one wants
I may not be the best
But I'm the worst- that no one wants?
Sure I'am not the best dressed
But why am I the one no one wants
I thought someone would have a heart
I guess not- I'm something no one wants
Yes, I'am no work of art
But I'm not the worthless one no one wants!
I guess I will just sit here for the remaining time
Because I'm the one no one wants
